Symmetry
Scripps Pier in LaJolla, California is a massive research pier, over 1000 feet long and very tall. It lends itself to a very symmetrical composition, and on two days each year, the sun can be seen disappearing exactly in the middle of the pier, adding to the near perfect symmetry. I went a day before I calculated I needed to be there to scout the location which was fortunate, as it turns out I was a day late in my calculations. Often the clouds and weather prevent the sun from being visible. I was fortunate mother nature cooperated and offered this splendid sunset. AR=0.42
